One More Time is an incredibly sweet, small town romance.
This is the second book in the Ruby Falls series, but is absolutely a stand alone. I had read the first book – Falling Fast when it came out several years ago, and didn’t reread before diving in to this one. One More Time is a stand alone and although I recommend reading it because I really enjoyed it, you definitely don’t need to read it in order to read this one.
Both Aria and Tide have been in toxic relationships in the past and both had reasons for being hesitant to jump into something new. The story starts with Aria buying and moving into a house in her hometown, after a difficult divorce. She is leaving her life on the west coast behind to start over again. The house she has bought desperately needs some work done, and she meets Tide when he comes to work on her house. Tide is a caring and devoted single dad, but has a strained relationship with his daughter’s mom.
I loved how we were taken along for their ride from start to finish and you felt like you were witnessing a real couple and their journey. Watching as Tide, Aria and Olivia build a relationship was sweet, romantic, but also included a bit of angst in the way of troublemaking exes, and difficult family members. I loved Tide and how he wasn’t afraid to show how much he cared for his loved ones, and with Aria he was a jealous, possessive alpha when it was warranted.
