This is my first Kendall Ryan book, and it certainly won’t be my last. This was such a sweet, second chance romance set in the world of professional hockey. Eden has just inherited a hockey team from her late grandfather, and Holt comes on to help with security for her. They both had met previously while in college and have a hot attraction for each other. There were definitely complications, with both being hesitant to jump into anything due to previous experiences and things they had lived through, but their chemistry is just too strong to ignore.
I loved how we got both POVs in this sweet romance, and enjoyed seeing them build a relationship together, despite denying that’s what they were doing. Their relationship had a bit of the forbidden to it as Eden feels she can’t get involved with someone she works with, and Holt fears their backgrounds are just too different. Highly recommend this if you love either sports romance, second chance romance, or a sweet romance.
