I love discovering a new author with a backlist that I can dive into. If you like age-gap, insta-love, mafia and over the top alpha, jealous and possessive men in your romance books, then this one is definitely for you. This was a great read. K.L. Savage’s books have been in my TBR list for a while, but this is my first time reading one and I LOVED IT! It had so many of the tropes that I love to read all in one book and it really worked for me.
Although this is a standalone and the first in a new series, it’s clear that this book picks up right where another book left off. However, it’s well written and I didn’t have any issue following right along.
Nora and Mateo are from completely different worlds but complement each other in a really great way. They just seem to fit and watching how they meet and then evolve makes for a great and steamy read. This book is definitely a hot read!
