Avah is not your virgin, shy simpering heroine – she spent years working as an escort and has had a difficult life. Hawk is a flawed, imperfect hero. He walked away and abandoned his daughter when things were toxic with his ex and has never been faithful in his life. Both Avah and Hawk are at a point of change in both of their lives. Avah leaving the escort business behind, and Hawk reconnecting and building a relationship with his adult daughter.
Their road together is rough, dark and gritty. There is incredible angst and pain as their story unfolds and it’s not for the faint at heart. If you like the dark, twisty, dubcon stories than this is most definitely for you. I loved reading this and all the emotions it brought out. I couldn’t put this book down, had to keep turning pages to see what happens next.
