Run Posy Run by Cate C. Wells

This book is so different from any of Cate C. Wells previous ones. It was organized crime, walked the lines a bit on noncon, and dealt with some very serious and heavy topics. Posy and and Dario have been living together for several months when Dario comes across a video of Posy from years before, misinterprets when it’s from and sends Posy away and on the run for her life. Dario is unable to feel emotions and just doesn’t connect with anyone on a human level, but instead has worn a mask to show Posy what she wants to see. Posy had a difficult few years prior to meeting Dario and struggles with self-worth, and is desperately in need of someone to love her. This seems like an exact recipe for failure. This book is so incredibly well written. The emotion and angst that posy feels, and even the struggle of the lack of emotion that Dario has just jumps off the page from the first chapter when you are dropped right into the action and you just feel the need to keep reading to see what happens next and how it all ends.
