Incredibly heartwarming story of family and love!
It is such a joy to discover an author with an extensive back list! This is my first Montgomery Ink book, and only my second Carrie Ann Ryan. After finishing this, I can’t wait to dive in and start this series from the beginning! Inked Obsession was such an emotional and intense love story, which makes a fantastic read. At the heart of it is the Montgomery family, and although this book is about Eliza and Beckett, this is also really a story about families, and friends that you make your family and how important that can be during hard times.
Beckett is struggling having been through a traumatic ordeal that he is keeping a secret from his entire family and circle of friends, save one person. Eliza is starting to heal from the loss of her husband a year ago, but as the anniversary of his death comes upon her, she learns information that rocks her belief in what she knew of her relationship and who she is. Eliza’s brother sends her on a vacation to get away and Beckett’s family has the same thoughts, but unbeknownst to them all, it’s to the same resort. There they finally give in to the chemistry and attraction both have felt for each other, but has pushed aside. This story sucks you in, and although it deals with some very intense, emotional and heavy subjects, it’s also an incredibly heartwarming story of not just love, but family and how love and family can help you through anything. I can’t wait to go now and start this series from the beginning.
