I loved this premise – this was such a good book!
It’s been a while since I’ve read this, but I wanted to come back and add a review. The thing is it only came out in 2019 and I know I’ve read it now at least three times! I’m a complete sucker for an amnesia book and this one just really called to me. A lot of them I can enjoy but they can be very unrealistic and involve a lot of suspension of belief to buy into the premises. With Repeat, it feels very real and is very well done. The other thing I really like in books is second chance or when you are dropped into a book where the couple are in the middle of their relationship- so often times you are delving deeper into what makes a couple work well together.
My recall is that you get all of that with Repeat. I loved the premise and the chemistry between Ed and Clementine, and you also have quite a bit of angst as Clementine can’t remember Ed and where there problems were. In addition you have a mystery going on, and I loved that we got to learn about Ed and Clementine as we read about Clementine discovering their relationship and finding herself in this new normal for her at the same time. HIGHLY recommend.
