Emotional, sweet, slow burn romance – loved this book!
I absolutely loved this book! Although I loved Leif when we were introduced to him in Repeat, I hadn’t anticipated a book for him, despite my wanting to see him in one so I was incredibly excited when I saw one was coming – and this definitely didn’t disappoint. The book opens with Anna in the hospital waking from a coma. She had been in one for 7 months after having been in a terrible accident. Leif had also been in that same accident and despite being injured himself, had helped her while she was injured. Anna seeks him out to meet him and thank him. Both of them are reeling and dealing with their own recovery from the accident, but both are also coming from difficult endings to their relationships. Leif no longer trusts his own judgement, and is filled with guilt over his last relationship and how it ended, and Anna is still reeling from finding her husband found comfort in her best friend while she was in the coma. Together they form a friendship which turns into more.
This was an emotional, sweet, slow burn romance. I love how Kylie Scott is able to inject humor even when dealing with such heavy topics. Although this is a standalone and you don’t need to have read Repeat first to enjoy this and follow alone, I strongly recommend because it’s a great book!
