I’ve been waiting for Salvatore’s book ever since we were first introduced to him, and in many ways his book, and the final one in this series, did not disappoint. What was also great is that his heroine is someone we had met much earlier, in another series, and I loved seeing what becomes of her as well. As with many of Hayley Faiman’s couples, their happy ending does not come easy to them and they have to go through a journey of self-discovery, especially Salvatore, in order to get it.
The only thing I feel I would be remiss in not mentioning, and what kept this from being a 5 star read for me, is a scene that ends in a critical moment without knowing the outcome and is NEVER mentioned again. I read the rest of the book, waiting for it to come into play in some way, and it just never does. I struggled with why it was there, with so much build up to it, with no completion if it never has any outcome or bearing on anything further – left me very unsatisfied because I really wanted the answers to what happened in those moments.
Despite that, as always, there is a lot of emotion in this book and you really feel the struggle and angst that Salvatore and Rosana go through on their way to their Happy Ever After. A fantastic ending to a great series!
