I keep thinking there is no way these stories can get better or stay original, and yet they always do!
I loved how the action in this one starts out from almost page one and I never could have guessed what would bring Shy and McCoy together. Shy is a reserved nail artist with dreams of owning her own nail salon one day, and McCoy is a Henchman, he is gruff, skeptical, and somewhat grumpy. When Shy is put in a desperate situation and forced to do something she could never have imagined, she enters McCoy’s world.
Their relationship grows quickly, as they forced into a situation where they are spending all of their time together – seeing how different they are, but how well they complement each other made for a great story. I loved every minute of reading this, all of the new characters were were introduced to, and seeing some of the others from previous books. The only thing I wish we had more of was an understanding of what the motivations were for the big bad in this situation. I can not wait for the next in this series! These books can’t come quick enough for me.
