Charlotte is looking for an investor in hopes of keeping her family’s failing business from going under and getting them out of debt. Mason is looking to exact revenge of the family he holds responsible for his family’s ruin. I was completely hooked from the very beginning of the dark romance, enemies to lover age gap romance. Charlotte and Mason are complete opposites – Charlotte always tries to find the positive, and keep a happy disposition and Mason is dour, untrusting and never finding the positive unless it’s in getting exactly what he wants. I kept turning pages to see what would happen next with the dark bargain Charlotte makes with Mason to save her family in this steamy, spicy read with twists and kink and now I can’t wait until the next installment.

The only thing that readers need to be aware of – this ends on a cliffhanger. When I went looking on the author’s website I found the information that this is part of a trilogy- but I didn’t see that here or on any of the retail sites. Usually, not having that up front would have me reducing a star, but this book is so good that I’m still giving it 5 stars.
