Just One Chance by Carly Phillips

This is one of those times I’m glad I started reading when I had nothing else planned – once I picked this up and started, I couldn’t put it down until I finished. This was a sweet, second chance romance with angst and suspense to keep it interesting and the tension high. Sasha and Xander had met and fallen in love but due to complications with Xander not liking the limelight, and Sasha being on the cusp of being a world famous actress and constantly being away from home, they didn’t work out.

This story opens several years later when Sasha comes to town to be the lead actress in the film that Xander wrote. The chemistry between them is still intense and neither can resist the other – with the question being will history repeat itself or can they find a way to make things work this time around? I loved everything about this – both Sasha and Xander were amazing and I loved meeting all the people that surround them in their lives- many of whom I assume have their own books that I can dive into or will have soon. In addition, we had a mystery with a stalker whose sights are set on Sasha. This entire story was perfectly done and I enjoyed every minute of reading it. I can’t wait to read more of her books!
