Rejected Mate books are my jam. I absolutely LOVE them, so I jumped at the chance to read this one. I love the way Cate C. Wells writes so couldn’t wait to see what she did with a shifter book. This book has everything you could absolutely want from a rejected mate book – angst, drama, steam and grovel. I loved that despite being low ranked, with a disabled leg even, Una, despite being introverted is also steadfast in who she is and standing her ground. Killian is absolutely the tyrant and alpha to the core. But for those that love a good grovel and redemption, this book has that in spades. Reading about how they move past his very public, and very humiliating rejection of Una made for a fantastic and emotional story. I can’t wait to read the next shifter book from Cate C. Wells!
