I absolutely loved this, and it’s come in right at the end of the year to make it to the top of my list of favorite books of this year.
What an epic, heart-wrenching love story. This story will just break your heart while taking you on an epic journey. Both Irina and Scar go through horrific things on their journey to their happy ever after and it’s painful and difficult to read, but for those who love angsty and emotional love stories where the main characters have to go through hell to come out on the other side for their happy ending then this one is for you. You can read this without having read any of the previous books in the series, but I definitely recommend going back and starting with the first book. For those who have been following along, Adelaide Forrest is a master at bringing back in characters we have loved and enjoyed from all the previous books, but doing it in a way that is enjoyable and seamless. This is absolutely a dark love story, and definitely contains several elements that some may find triggering. I absolutely loved this, and it’s come in right at the end of the year to make it to the top of my list of favorite books of this year.
