Shelter is a sweet, heartwarming small town romance about family, both blood and found. Seth loves his life on his family’s ranch, but had a difficult start in life that’s left him scarred. Remi was a reality star that’s set off on an adventure in a van – just driving to wherever she wants and enjoying what adventures she can which masks her own scars that she can’t outrun. When they meet one night they have instant chemistry and attraction, but Remi ghosts Seth before giving any of it a chance. Then they meet up again when they get stranded together during a storm.

I loved reading about Seth and Remi and how they each overcome the baggage from the past. I also very much loved the setting in the story – it’s so beautifully captured that it’s almost a character in the book itself. This is the second book in the series, but is definitely a standalone. I haven’t yet read it, but definitely plan to now.
