Always Someone’s Monster by Lani Lynn Vale

I finished this first book in the Battle Crows MC series, and it’s taken me a week before I could sit down and write this review. Always Someone’s Monster delivers a steamy, age gap love story, which is a specialty that Lani Lynn Vale excels in, but it’s also so much more than that. So much happens in this story that I didn’t see coming and wouldn’t have even considered. It really just rips your heart out and puts you through the ringer. I love how well this author writes age gaps. I’m a huge fan of that trope, and hers are always at the top of my list.

Sophia has had an attraction to Haggard, her best friend’s father, since she was a young girl. That attraction has only grown more over time. Haggard, since Sophia has become an adult, has also felt this growing attraction for her, but has worked hard to fight it. Then something happens that hammers home for him that life is short and you can’t waste time, he finally decides to stop fighting that attraction.

I can’t wait to read next the book in this series.
