This was a sweet, heartwarming sports romance.
Michael is hockey legacy and has just gotten to town after being traded only earlier that same day. At dinner that night, out alone his first night in this new city, he saves Jillian from a blind date that never showed up. The two have instant chemistry and connection and a fantastic and very steamy night together. They exchange phone numbers and he leaves the next morning, leaving it up to her to contact him should she want. Through a mixup they never connect and when they next come face to face, Jillian is five months pregnant with his baby!
For that love low angst drama, including no other woman/other man interference this is definitely one for you! It was great to see Michael react so well to the surprising news and seeing how supportive and caring he was made for such an upbeat, feel good story. You get to see them spend a lot of time together and build their relationship as a couple. I have to admit this is my first hockey book by Natasha Madison and I had a feeling maybe there might be others out there featuring some of the characters in this one. These written so that at no point did I feel lost or unable to completely follow what was going along and it’s definitely a stand alone, but I’m so happy to find there is at least two series of backlist for me to go and dive into now!
