Sweet romance with a protective and very alpha hero. Loved this!
This is still a fairly new to me author, and so far I have only read one other book in The O’Callahgans series, but this one is my favorite so far. Maggie and Cameron practically grew up together, and although Maggie was married to someone else for a while, she has always been attracted to Cameron. Her husband passed away just a few years before, and that marriage left her with a lot of issues around self-esteem and self-worth. She is ready to put herself out there and makes a play for Cameron, but the evening doesn’t go quite as planned and the story picks back up a year later when things finally come to a head and they begin to works towards something more than friendship.
I loved this story and how well their story is weaved while still allowing us glimpses into the rest of the O’Callaghans lives but not at all in an annoying way- I now want to go and read all the books that came before that I apparently missed! I also LOVED how this one started out right there with the steam and how caring and protective Cameron was for Maggie. HIGHLY recommend this sweet, second chance, brother’s best friend romance!
