Blog Tour: Ferrara by T L Swan

This is 3 1/2 stars. Ferrara is an epic style love story of Giuliano and Francesca who meet while still teenagers. Fancesca is the youngest of her family, heavily guarded and not allowed to date. Giuliano is just done with school and headed to university after his summer. They meet and the attraction is instant and intense and both work hard to figure out a way to be in touch and see each other. within months, despite being desperately love, things will happen to change both their lives drastically and tear them apart. The story picks up again years later when things happen to bring them back into contact again.

This reads as almost an epic story, spanning a long period of time and covering many different people, their lives and complex situations. I loved parts of the story. Found myself completely invested in trying to figure out how things will resolve and how they could possibly find a way forward together. But at the same time there is so much going on in this story, and some of it so complicated, that it was a bit overwhelming at times. It was also hard that all of Giuliano’s pov’s were in bold. Having his name before his pov was enough for me, the bold type unnecessary. I can’t wait now for Valentino’s story which comes next!
