Garret Hayes and Ani Bennet couldn’t be more different. Garret is a famous rock musician, Ani works at the general store in her quaint, small home town. Garret, two years after the death of his wife, is finally ready to settle back down in one place and lands in Ani’s hometown as her next door neighbor. Their paths cross a number of times unexpectedly and they find themselves forming a friendship. Both of them have a past that haunts them and informs all the choices they are making in the present. This was a slow burn, sweet, small town romance. I loved how Ani and Garret got to know each other and spent time together before moving on towards something with each other. It’s very slow burn but then when they do get together it’s very steamy! This was such a fun book to read with all the different small town people that we meet. I’m looking forward to more books in this world.
