Suspenseful start to a new series!
This is the first in a new series for these authors, and I loved that it was slightly darker than their usual stories. This was a romantic suspense and I very much enjoyed the suspense part of this story. Salem and Sage came from very different worlds, but just worked together and had great chemistry. Sage was quick to argue with Salem with every interaction, and I’m not sure I ever really understood why nor did that aspect work well for me – had me waffling just a bit between 3 and 4 stars. But I do like this new MC, the darker aspect to this series, and the suspense. I can’t wait to read what comes next!
