Loved reading about Lore and her mates!
Stone Will starts off with Lore, a gargoyle, discovering her father, president of the Obsidian Angels MC has gone missing. Lore is made President in his absence, but goes searching for her father and what happened to him and along the way finds her three mates. Although I’ve read stories with angels and demons before, and have read shifter books, I had not read stories with other kinds of “monsters” so wasn’t sure what I’d make of this at first. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I loved that Lore is very much able to take care of herself and hold her own in any situation and she is paired with mates that are just as tough as her, but they also, most of the time, know that she can fend for herself. I love how Albany Walker is able balance that in a way where the mates still come off very alpha and gruff and domineering at times. As Stone Will progresses, the story becomes more complicated and involved as they work to unravel what happened and I loved that it wasn’t easy or obvious to figure out exactly what happened. I know there are other books in the MC Syndicates series, each by different authors, but I’m also hoping we will see more of the Obsidian Angels as well!
