Exactly what I love to read in a first installment for a New Adult RH trilogy!
Absolutely LOVED this. Seeing Sound ticks so many of my boxes with what I like about New Adult Reverse Harem books. Albany Walker spends a lot of time introducing us to all the characters and what makes them who they are. Waylynn is just starting college after having spent time off and on being treated because she has always heard voices in her head. She bumps into – literally – Memphis and soon after meets his brother Oz and their friend Bates. All of whom she is drawn to, and all of whom she feels she has heard as those voices. We get to spend a lot of time as they all get to know each other. I loved the dynamics in this one – Memphis is clearly dominant, protective and possessive. His “eyes on me” really did it for me, especially with the dynamic of him being so dominant and her being so incredibly reserved and shy. Oz was great at balancing them out. There was also a lot of angst in this one and I loved all the scenes we get with them interacting and seeing how they are when together, getting to know each other, and also in class and around campus. I got to the end and practically screamed because I’m already ready for the next installment in this trilogy!
