My favorite Catherine Cowles so far!
This is the story the rest of the series has been leading up to and my favorite of Catherine Cowles by far! Shiloh’s family was forever changed when she was kidnapped as a child. Although she was found not long after, nothing was ever the same for any of them. Shiloh has had a hard time moving on with her life. All these years later and she still has trouble being around her family and other people. She is most comfortable with horses and finds solace being with them.
Ramsey is gruff, grumpy and almost mean with everyone. He prefers to be alone and his resolute in his caution on who he lets enter his property. He spends his time training horses that others deem damaged, traumatized or difficult. Shiloh often spends time retreating to his land, watching from afar as Ramsey works with difficult horses. As she begins to make changes in her life and try to move on in her independence in a more meaningful way, she takes solace from Ramsey, who offers her a small cabin on his land.
Shiloh and Ramsey’s story deals with intense and heavy topics. Both of them have been through traumas, and together they work through the pain they each have from that and together are able to heal, while at the same time working through the new danger to Shiloh that surrounds them.
I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic suspense and can’t wait to see what Catherine Cowles will write next!
