Was a great installment. Fun, angsty and steamy all at the same time!
Garrett’s Destiny was actually a really fun read for me. I found myself smiling and laughing a lot during the first several chapters. I’m fairly new to the Dark Protectors series, as I’ve only read three other books in the series. This author is so good though at drawing you in and giving you the information you need to follow along, even though it’s a complicated world with a lot of characters and backstory. I never felt lost or confused. Garrett is all alpha and dominant and was a great contrast to Dessie, who is lighthearted and innocent. Dessie almost reminded me of heroines from Julie Garwood’s earlier books. There is a reason for her innocence which comes out as you move through the story, which really added to my enjoyment of Garrett’s Destiny. Garrett and Destiny do not have an easy path and there is a lot of torment and angst throughout. We also meet a number of characters that I’m now desperate to read about in their books!er best to hold on until she discovers her path—even if that means ending his.
