Engaging with lots of action!
This is the third book in the Aspen pack series, but is heavily connected to the other pack series books that Carrie Ann Ryan has written. I loved that this one was a triad/poly relationship and different from some of the most recent books in the series. Adalyn, Cole and Nico had all felt the attraction to each other but were confused by it, since Alpha’s typically only have a single mate. Mated Chaos is aptly named as everything about their situation is chaotic and fast, along with the larger situation their packs are going through. Although these books could be read as a standalone, I found it really helpful that I had read so many of the others because we have met Adalyn, Cole and Nico before. I very much enjoyed their romance and how different it was from previous matings in the series, but I also wish we had more time with them and their relationship and less on the larger war their packs are fighting. This was an intense book with a lot of action and a lot happening at a fast pace, which made for an engaging story and a fast read.
