Loved this – just the right mix of heart warming and sweet with steam and angst!
June is ready for a change. Finally breaking from her family and looking to make big changes in her life, she goes to Spain to meet up with her sister and their band and act as a nanny for one of the band members. One of the kids she winds up being a nanny for is Diego’s son, Camilo. Diego is the hot drummer that June has been wildly attracted to, but who never seems to notice her. However, Diego definitely takes notice of June this time, and the chemistry between them is intense.
After the short term gig is up, June heads back to Brooklyn to figure out her life, only to wind up heading to Diego’s home when he finds himself in a situation and desperate for June’s help. What happens from there is a fabulous love story as June and Diego find themselves unable to fight their attraction to each other.
This slow burn, rock star, single dad romance really hit me just right. It’s a great combination of sweet and heartwarming while also being steamy and having just the right amount of angst for me. Although their attraction between them is quick to pop up, you spend a lot of time with them as they get to know each other and I loved that. I especially loved the last third of the book and how everything comes together and their situation resolves itself. Can’t recommend this enough. LOVED IT.
