Angsty, intense and steamy!
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book – I’m very familiar with The Disciples, but less with The Five Points’ Mob. In addition, the heroine of this book, Cindy, was someone I wasn’t too fond of from the previous Disciples books. I really need not have feared. These writers did such a fantastic job that I absolutely LOVED this story.
Cindy and Cade both have troubled and difficult pasts. Cindy left behind an abusive family situation, is fighting an addiction to pills and still longs for a man that is in love with someone else. Cade is working for his brother, but bears tremendous guilt for his brothers death years before and always feels like he is having to prove himself in some way. When Cade meets Cindy, he is immediately attracted to her and pulled to help her at the same time, even if this puts him in direct conflict with his mission. I loved the intense chemistry these two had with each other and Filthy Disciple was angsty and steamy and had me on edge many time waiting to see what would happen next with these two. Both of them were incredibly different, but also very much the same in a lot of ways – they both had a lot of demons to work through in order to reach their happy ever after. The only thing I wish we had gotten on page before this story ended was more of a resolution for Cade with his older brother.
Filthy Disciple is an angsty, intense and steamy read and if you like mafia romance or MC romance, this is definitely something you will want to pick up!
