This is exactly what I love in my mafia romances- intense, steamy and lots of mayhem. Alex and Nadia have both always longed for the other, but have a difficult past. When the story opens Nadia is working as Alex’s PA, but is desperate to find another job and get away from the man she thinks left her behind. Alex meanwhile has been doing everything he can to thwart her attempts to find another job or to date. When he believes she is in danger, he finally makes his move and everything changes.

Scandalous Pledge has a lot of scheming going on behind the scenes as Alex and his brothers are working to keep others from trying to horn in on their territory and to also deal with all the secrets and complications amongst themselves. This was a great story with lots of intrigue and steamy scenes. I loved the chemistry between Nadia and Alex.
