Fractured Fates by Hannah Haze

Fractured Fates is a new reverse harem, paranormal, bully academy series. This book is a departure from Hannah Haze’s recent books, and I absolutely loved it. Rhianna lives in a world where those with magical abilities must be registered and eventually attend Arrow Hart Academy, so that if needed, they are prepared and able to help defend their country. Rhianna was raised by her Aunt to believe that those in authority are not to be trusted and it’s better to live a solitary existence away from anyone else. When the story opens, not only are the authorities aware of Rhianna’s existence, but so are the gangs and outlaws of this world and they are all seeking her. Rhianna ends up being taken in and sent to Arrow Hart Academy to learn how to use her powers and then to serve in the defense forces after graduation.

This first book we get introduced to a cast of characters, several of whom I would guess will be in the harem. You have two dark, brooding men who are much older than Rhi, but then you also have two classmates who are arrogant, popular and everything you expect from a bully, RH story. This one ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to get the next in the series. I’m hoping with the next installment we get more classrooms scenes with Rhi learning her magic and even more of the Rhi with each of the men that could be in her harem. There is a lot that Rhi doesn’t know about her world and her magic, and as the reader we are also in the dark, so I’m looking forward to learning more about this world alongside Rhi. I was intrigued by this world and this story and can’t wait to get more of it!
