You Beautiful Thing, You by Saffron A. Kent

You Beautiful Thing, You is a difficult one to write a review for without giving out bits and pieces of the story. I struggled slightly in the beginning with the information we are given to fully understand Tempest and Ledger and the actions they take, but as the story moves along and you get further in, you get glimpses into these characters and why they are the way they are. It says so much about the talent of this author that she can take tropes that I usually don’t want to read, and leave me fully entranced and engaged in the story, turning pages, not wanting to put it down as I wait to see what happens next. With this one, you can see the cliff is coming and the drop is up ahead, but you just can’t stop or look away. You Beautiful Thing, You is filled with all the usual angst and steam we’ve come to expect from this author.
