LOVED this!
This is the first book by this author I’ve read in a long while, and I absolutely LOVED it! It’s also perfect timing with for this season. Nova is on her way to stay in her friend’s brother’s house for a while as she gets herself together after a disastrous day. She doesn’t count on the blizzard that comes through that leaves her stranded on the side of the road. Coming to her rescue is Lake, a hockey player on his way home. Their first meeting is anything but smooth and although they have instant attraction and chemistry, they seem to bring out the worst in each other. Both Nova and Lake come with an excess of toxic baggage that they have to work through on their way to a Happy Ever After and you have a lot of emotional, angsty scenes getting there. I loved getting to see them snowed in together and forced to get to know each other, as well as the cast of characters we meet along the way. I stayed up late into the night to read this one because I couldn’t put it down!
