Fantastic start to a new series!
This was exactly what I’ve been looking for to read. Twilight of Embers is the first in the Dragons of Ember Hollow series and it was a fabulous start to this new series. We get a fated mates reverse harem with a group of men who are all alpha, but range from sweet to surly. I love that we can get both the insta and the resistance all in one group, however all of them were protective of her from the start. Hayden, who has spent the last eight years in foster care after her parents were murdered, moves to Ember Hollow where she has a full scholarship to attend a private university located in Ember Hollow. One of the first people she meets is Knox, who immediately recognizes that Hayden is not only his and his groups fated mate, but also has no clue exactly who she is.
Twilight of Embers really hit a lot of what I like to see in my reverse harems. I love to see caretaking, protective men and although I love when some in the group immediately fall first, I also love that in an rh we can also still get some that are resistant and fighting their connections. We also get a mix of classroom scenes and the intrigue and set up for what will follow in the series reeled me right in.
I devoured this first installment to the series, and I’ll be jumping on each of the ones that follow the minute they hit my kindle. This book really has it all, from sweet scenes to super steamy ones and we also get angst along with adventure, intrigue and action. LOVED this book!
