Moving and heartfelt love story!
Through the Glen was a moving, heartfelt love story. Theo and Sarah couldn’t seem more different. Theo is a world famous writer and director as well as a playboy who is never afraid to say what he is thinking and Sarah, shy and reserved, has been working as a housekeeper. However they cross paths at the celebrity resort that Sarah works at and Theo spends down time at. Sarah comes to Theo with a proposition – she is a bestselling fiction crime writer who writes under a pseudonym and she wants Theo to work with her on adapting her series into a television series.
As they work together they learn that as different as they are, they are also very similar both having lived through abusive parents and loss. Theo’s experiences have left him jaded and commitment shy, while Sarah has never really given relationships a try. I loved reading about how the two of them come together and find common ground, and build from there. Reading about how they work together as well was intriguing. Through the Glen has some really angsty moments and I loved how these didn’t just magically solve themselves and it took time to work through. This is one of my favorites from The Highlands and Adair series.
