Jump On Three by J. Wolf

Jump on Three includes so much of what I love to read in a romance. Ivan and Evelyn made for a great couple and I loved reading about their story. We saw a bit of Evelyn in her twin sister’s, Delilah, book These Two Wrongs and I was intrigued with the glimpses of her we got there. Evelyn is on the spectrum, and I’m always drawn to books where the main characters are either on the spectrum, neurodivergent or have a disability of some kind. She hasn’t had it easy and her and Delilah ended up at Savage Academy after she experienced heavy bullying at her previous school. Even her family, except for Delilah, treat her badly because of it. Ivan is new to Savage Academy and trying to figure out his place in the school. He and Evelyn start interacting more as they are both swimmers and he is working to join the swim team which she is a part of.

I loved reading about all their interactions as they start getting to know each other via these various interactions swimming before school, studying in the library, and the cafeteria. You get to witness as their friendship grows and develops. But they are not without problems. First off, Ivan was Delilah’s crush and in mind Evelyn’s mind Ivan is off limits because of this. In addition, Ivan is keeping things about his life under wraps. Both Ivan and Evelyn have a lot in common, but they also have a lot of differences which made for a great story.

I loved the buildup between them and the angst involved throughout this story. I love when we really get to not only see the characters really get to know each other, but also interact with their larger environment which is why I love school settings and that was well done here. This was a great mix of sweet and romantic but also angsty and steamy. Absolutely loved Jump on Three and now can’t wait for what will come next from this author.
