Suspenseful, angsty and yet also sweet!
Daisy and Hugh meet at a wedding, the chemistry is instant and both decide to indulge in a night together thinking they will never be seeing the other again. Hugh has just moved to the area and is a single dad about to start a new job and new life with his daughter and not looking for any complications. Daisy has been recovering from a workplace explosion and is focused on her work. It comes as quite a surprise when they both go in to work after the wedding to discover that Hugh is the new hire at the business Daisy co-owns.
Intending to just be co-workers and nothing more doesn’t work out well for them since neither is able to ignore the sizzling chemistry and attraction between them. I really enjoyed Daisy and Hugh’s story and the parallels between Daisy’s own experience as a child and Hugh’s own daughter, Lucy. I really enjoyed Lucy in this story and how she connected Hugh into the Montgomery family. This was a great mix between angsty, suspenseful and yet also sweet. Can’t wait now for Kane’s story!
