Great addition to the series!
I’m absolutely loving this mafia series from these authors – so glad two of my favorites joined forces for this! Mercy in Betrayal is the story of Enzo and Rowan. Enzo sets eyes on Rowan and decides fairly quickly that she will be his. Rowan has just moved to New York and is hoping to live a “normal” life starting college. When she first meets Enzo she has absolutely no idea who he really is and what his motives are.
This world is filled with lots of machinations and maneuvering and figuring out who is doing what and why is not clear which keeps you guessing and on edge to see what is going to happen next. This story doesn’t exactly end on a cliffhanger, but things are nicely set up for the next book in the story – Vivi and Ivan’s, and I’m going to be desperately awaiting that to see how everything plays out in this world where the various families have to figure out how to work together to come out on top.
