Love, Utley by S.J. Tilly

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this sweet but steamy love story. Maddox and Hannah first meet in college, spend a few days together, and then after getting locked in a library overnight together with plans to meet again the next night, Hannah gets a call that changes her life. She leaves Maddox a letter, but never hears from him again until fifteen years later when her company is bought out by his.

I actually hesitated starting this one because I somehow assumed it would have a lot of past tense scenes, and involve back and forth letters. I so regret that hesitancy because this had none of that! I loved the situation Hannah and Maddox find themselves in when they meet back again for the first time in years, and how they dance around each other at first. The chemistry and attraction jumps off the page and I felt like I was on the edge waiting to see how things would play out. Although there is definitely some angst here, it’s really an incredibly sweet love story with a lot of steamy scenes. I absolutely loved Maddox – he was this great mix of alpha and protective and domineering but also incredibly romance. The side characters in this one really worked for me- Hannah’s mom and niece really added to the story, and I’m hoping we are getting books for Max, Waller and Tony. Can’t wait to see which one is coming next!
