This was a wonderful but emotional second chance, fake romance love story!
Can’t explain why, but I absolutely love fake relationship romances. Something about being in intimate situations and playing at being together, while having the time to really get to know one another seems to make for a great story. In this one we have Dash, the famous rock star who has garnered publicity for all the wrong reasons lately, and Cassidy, the band’s temporary PA. Cassidy is the former PA and best friend of Dash’s brother’s fiancé.
Dash and Cassidy had instant chemistry upon meeting and had a great one night together, before Dash panicked and ran. Since then he has realized that he has feelings for Cassidy and wants more and the fake relationship is the perfect way to give him to get to more. Cassidy has spent her life learning the lesson over and over again that everyone eventually leaves and so is guarding her heart closely. I loved reading about how they come together and overcome their obstacles. I love that Carly Phillips creates such multi-dimensional characters that add to the emotion and depth of the story.
