Bright Like Midnight by J. Wolf

When I read Zadie and Amir’s meeting in Soft Like Thunder, I was instantly intrigued and wanted more. Soft Like Thunder was a 5 star read for me, but Holy Hotness- Bright Like Midnight is hot, steamy and such a pleasure to read. Zadie is shy, quiet and somewhat reserved. Amir is hard and tough with lots of rough edges. The chemistry between them just leaps off the page. I loved that he called her “Little Mama” and how jealous, possessive and protective he was for her. This is a couple that in many ways couldn’t be more different and shouldn’t work, but it just does and reading about them coming together and overcoming obstacles is such a treat. Parts of it flirted with the dark, and at times Amir could show a cold, mean side to Zadie in trying not to truly show his hand, but that just made him and this book all the more appealing. LOVED everything about this, stayed up late into the night(or should I say early morning) to read this one.
