⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sweet small-town, enemies to lovers romance.
Abandoned by her father, and raised by her barely there, toxic mother, Luna plans to never fall in love and be in a long term relationship. It would only lead to hurt and she is determined to have nothing to do with that. Her life plans have fallen astray when she finds her business going belly up in her small town and prospects dim. To keep things going, she takes a job as a bartender in a dive bar in the next town over. In walks a gorgeous stranger one night that she has instant chemistry with and after determining he wasn’t local, she goes back to his hotel with him for a single night of fun. Imagine her surprise when a month later they cross paths and it turns out he is the son of her friends, and the only possible good job prospect she has had in a while. This time around, Nate and Luna spark but in all the wrong ways. Nate is unwilling to hire Luna since he won’t mix business with pleasure. Unfortunately for him, things happen and he is forced to hire Luna and thus begins their dance around each other.
Jessica Prince is a master at small-town, enemies to lovers romances. I definitely enjoyed this one. Although Luna and Nate have a one night stand early on, this is still very much a slow burn romance. We read about them making plans for the night together, and then the aftermath the next morning, but nothing of what happens when they hit the sheets. I kind of wish we had seen just a little bit of that – even if it’s just them first kissing or touching – because it left me not feeling the chemistry and heat until much later in the story. Despite that, I still really enjoyed this story and can’t wait for the next in the series!

Born and raised around Houston, Jessica is a self proclaimed caffeine addict, connoisseur of inexpensive wine, and the worst driver in the state of Texas. In addition to being all of these things, she’s first and foremost a wife and mom.
Growing up, she shared her mom and grandmother’s love of reading. But where they leaned toward murder mysteries, Jessica was obsessed with all things romance.
When she’s not nose deep in her next manuscript, or binging on sit-coms, you can usually find her with her kindle in hand.
While Jessica loves writing series, almost all of her books can be read as standalones. She prides herself on having a little something for everyone.
From fun romantic comedies to angst-filled page turners, to emotional, contemporary small town romances, you’ll definitely find a story you’re bound to love.
