Very much enjoyed this!
Kristen Ashley is immensely talented at writing romances filled with emotion, angst and keep you turning pages anxious to see what will happen next. Making the Match is no exception. I typically gravitate away from stories about the well to do, yet Kristen Ashley can write about characters I normally can’t stand, and do it in such a way that I can feel empathy and compassion and even cheer to see them have their happy ever after. I’ve been intrigued by Tom and couldn’t wait to read his story. I tend to only like single or dual POV stories, but this series has been different from many of her previous ones in that each have contained brief POVs by other characters, and Making the Match was no exception. I understand why she chose to do this, but I wish we had a bit less of it. This book deals with some really heavy and difficult topics that have been surfacing and surrounding us for a number of years now. They are important, and it’s clear that Kristen Ashley and I are aligned when it comes to these topics, but I wish they had been more subtly presented. Kristen Ashley’s talent for writing stories and characters that draw people in and keep them entertained and turning pages until the end is evident here and I can’t wait now for the next in this series.
