Wilting Violets by Anne Malcom

I was nervous starting this book. I’m not a fan of rich, entitled heroines, especially in an age gap where the heroine makes the play for the Hero. However, I shouldn’t have been concerned – especially since it is Anne Malcom. I absolutely loved Violet and most especially Violet and Elden. Elden is a member of the Sons of Templar, and Violet is the step-daughter of one of his brother members. Cue lots of complications, angst and drama. Wilting Violet absolutely does not describe this heroine- Violet has a backbone, knows her own mind, and isn’t afraid of speaking up or taking action, even when it’s not fully thought through and can lead to some trouble.

I love the cast of characters we are introduced to throughout Violet and Elden’s story and am already looking forward to all of their books. This book has everything I love from lots of angst, lots of hot steamy scenes, and quite a bit of romance. Elden is the big, gruff, silent scary biker guy who is all in for his woman and I think he has become one of my favorites of Anne Malcom’s heroes! This book was a great read- started it and couldn’t put it down even though it meant almost no sleep that night.

Anne Malcom has been an avid reader since before she can remember, her mother responsible for her book addiction. It started with magical journeys into the world of Hogwarts and Middle Earth, then as she grew up her reading tastes grew with her. Her obsession with books and romance novels in particular gave Anne the opportunity to find another passion, writing. Finding writing about alpha males and happily ever afters more fun than reading about them, Anne is not about to stop any time soon.

Raised in small town New Zealand, Anne had a truly special childhood, growing up in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. She has backpacked across Europe, ridden camels in the Sahara, eaten her way through Italy, and had all sorts of crazy adventures. For now, she’s back at home in New Zealand and quite happy. But who knows when the travel bug will bite her again.
