At First Meet by Carrie Ann Ryan

At First Meet is such a sweet, heartfelt romance that takes you on a journey filled with all the emotions. Lake and Nick have known each other for years as Nick has lived and is best friends with her cousin, and they all own a business together. They start to see each other as more when Nick joins her for a weekend away event that she needs a plus one for. However, they both have a tricky time navigating how to move their friendship to something more with their friends and family to intertwined and at the same time they also both have very traumatic and toxic pasts to work through and overcome. Nick lost his father at a young age and is estranged from his mom, and Lake has only recently gotten out of an abusive relationship.

I loved reading as Nick and Lake work their feelings and fears to come together- this was a fun, steamy and simply lovely story. The very end sets up for the next book in the Montgomery Ink Legacy series, which is sure to be an emotional one. That last chapter hits you with all the feels and definitely put tears in my eyes, which rarely happens when I’m reading. Can’t wait for Sebastian’s story!
