Dark, twisted, emotional and romantic all rolled into one.
This felt much darker and very different from any of Layla Frost’s previous books, and I absolutely LOVED it. This book is about Briar and Alexander, both of whom are “damaged” in their own way. I loved that this was a duet, but still in many ways a standalone and we don’t have a retelling of events from Deathly: The Dillon Sisters even when we get to places where events may overlap. However, because of that I strongly recommend you read Deathly: The Dillon Sisters first- because those events are retold. Pay attention to the author’s trigger warning before diving in! If you like your heroes and heroines dark and twisted, then this one is definitely for you!
