Midnight of Ashes by Tessa Hale

Midnight of Ashes was a fantastic installment to the series – I inhaled this in one sitting and didn’t want it to end. With this one, you get a little bit of everything within this harem from the devoted hero who is all in, to one that fights their feelings, to the overprotective, controlling alpha. I loved how both the plot and relationships develop and the angst in this one was high. We also get to see this harem care for Hayden after she is injured, and I really loved those scenes. Can’t wait for the next and last installment to this series because we learn in this one that female dragons go through heat, and since I’m a fan of omegaverse I’d love to see that element in this series. We also have hints to the possible next series to come from this author which made me really happy because I’m loving these dragons and definitely wouldn’t mind more of them and this world.

I both listened to this while reading it – switched off between the two – and the audio version was fabulous. I loved the narrators- we have more than two. Vanessa Moyen is a favorite of mine, she always does an amazing job of bringing characters and stories to life, but we also get several male narrators for the various harem members and that really sets this one apart from many of the other audio books I’ve listened to. If you like audio and reverse harem and paranormal or dragons, this series is not one to be missed!
