Prudence by L.H. Cosway

I really enjoy the way this author writes. I loved the choice here to tell this story linearly rather than with past tense scenes – that really worked for me. Derek and Molly have a complicated relationship. Derek was hurt by the way Milly turned him down, and 18 years later when they end up in close proximity and running into each other all the time after Milly moves back in to town, Derek is not in the best of places mentally. Despite not loving Derek being so grumpy with Milly over something that transpired so many years before and Milly’s reasons for pushing Derek away when younger, I loved how realistic this felt and the way their relationship unfolds. This was 3.5 stars for me.
