Loved the angst and romance in this one!
I was really surprised at just how much I enjoyed this one. The bride just about to be married as the heroine can be a toss up for me, but this was so well done. Samantha is just about to be married when she discovers her fiancé has been having an affair and is only marrying her for her money. She leaves and runs right into Dex, someone she had met years ago and connected with. Dex jumps in to help her escape and not wanting her to be on her own, goes with her on her “vacation” from what has occurred. When they get back into town they finally decide to pursue their attraction to each other, but things become difficult when her ex won’t go quietly away and Dex’s new work contract is complicated by their seeing each other. I really enjoyed Dex and Samantha and the complications surrounding their relationship, exactly the kind of angst I like in my romances.
