⭐⭐⭐⭐Lovely addition to the series!
This was such a sweet love story and a lovely addition to the series. Unrequited love is one of my favorite tropes and I really loved how it was done here. After years of having her eyes set on Caleb, quiet and reticent Alice finally makes a move one night. Caleb is singularly focused on his ranch and his son and has no time for relationships, so tries to gently let Alice down. However, in doing so, finds himself realizing each time their paths cross that he is starting to really see her. I loved how Alice made decisions with things going on in her life, to make a change and starts working on moving on from Caleb just as he is starting to notice her. We also have a great scene where Caleb steps in and is there for Alice during a really difficult time and not only takes care of her, but is a steady and supportive presence for her. This author never disappoints and I always love losing myself in her characters for a few hours.
