This romance really worked for me. I stayed up late into the night to read this one! I love an obsessed, neurodivergent hero and Creighton was so much that. I loved how singularly focused he was on Blake. I’m also a sucker for books that suck me and keep on the edge as I read to see how everything will work out, feeling all kinds of emotions along the way and this definitely did that for me. The only thing that makes me put this at a 4.5 instead of a 5 is West and Waldon’s appearances in this book. I wish that could have gone a slightly different way than it did. I like how it all resolves, but it felt like they were very different here than what we see of them in their own books.
I’m not sure if there is more planned in this world or not, but I definitely would be up for me. What also really worked for me was how invested I felt with some of the side characters. I’m sure they aren’t getting their own books but I really liked how they were written and what they added to this story.
